No. FiltEdge’s dual filter housing utilizes a hydrodynamically designed linkage valve, not just any valve. The linkage valves are designed to be non-dulling, allowing you to open both the inlet and outlet at the same time, so you don’t have to deal with the possibility of the pump being held up. Secondly, the linkage valve allows the closed flow to equal the opened flow, allowing the 2 filter buckets to smoothly hand off the flow, keeping the total flow in balance and not exposing your downstream equipment to pressure surges and decreases.
There is a risk of this. We recommend that you install an air venting valve on the Dual Filter Housing to pre-fill and vent the Standby Vessel through the equalizer pipe and air venting valve between the 2 Filter Vessels each time you need to activate the Standby Vessel, to avoid the phenomenon of airlock from affecting the stability of your system.
It is strictly forbidden for you to perform such a dangerous operation. In industrial filtration, the slurry that is filtered may be hazardous, and forcible dismantling of precision parts by operating under pressure will increase the level of danger and cause damage to your personal safety and the production environment. We recommend that you lubricate valve stems and other parts regularly. In the unfortunate event of a jamming situation, you can first relieve the pressure through the bypass system before carrying out maintenance operations.
You can determine this by looking at the differential pressure gauge on the dual filter housing. Usually, when the differential pressure reaches 0.05-0.1MPa, you can consider changing the tank.
