FiltEdge’s Duplex Filter Housing is a Duplex Filter system that connects 2 filters together, you just need to break the switching valve to divert the slurry from one filter housing to the other filter vessel. This design, which allows you to produce all the time without waiting, helps you realize 24-hour continuous production. It can be used in high-viscosity fuels, lubricating oils, and highly corrosive chemicals, and is a central component in maintaining the stability and safety of your production.

In most Industrial Liquid Filtration processes, we recommend that you switch as soon as the differential pressure reaches 0.1 – 0.15 MPa (15-22 PSI). If you force operation beyond this limit, you can easily cause the internal filter element to collapse or the metal screen to physically deform irreversibly. To help you monitor this accurately, our systems can be equipped with an optional differential pressure gauge that automatically triggers an alarm once the threshold is reached.
Your Filter Baskets are 100% reusable – just spray them with a high-pressure water jet or run them through an ultrasonic cleaner and they’re good as new. As for Filter Bags, they are essentially consumables, but you can indeed simply rinse them once or twice for coarse filtration. Please note, however, that if you have stringent requirements for accuracy or aseptic conditions, we always recommend that you simply replace the filter bags with new ones, as this is the only way to ensure 100% filtration efficiency downstream.
The heart of our design for this Duplex Filter Housing is the synchronized valve linkage. When you turn the handle, the flow is instantaneously “smooth-shared” between the two tanks (i.e., Continuous Flow ), which eliminates the safety hazard of sudden pressure jumps. When you turn the handle in place, the dirty tank is 100% physically isolated from your work, ensuring that you can safely perform cleaning and maintenance without downtime or leaks.
No problem. While the standard model you see is the Manual Changeover, we can offer you a complete Automatic Duplex Filter Skid with pneumatic/electric actuators. With the addition of a pressure transducer, it allows for unattended changeover at your set time intervals or real-time differential pressure, seamlessly integrating with your plant’s DCS/PLC system.
Other than bags or cartridges that must be replaced periodically, the only wear parts you need to be concerned about are O-rings & Seals. We strongly recommend that you keep 2-3 sets of Viton or EPDM seals on hand. Especially if your process involves aggressive chemicals or high-temperature fluids, the integrity of these seals is critical to achieving “zero leakage” on your production line.
