Why Choose FiltEdge 100-micron Filter Cartridges?
FiltEdge 100-micron filter cartridges utilize unique 3D gradient pore size technology, featuring stepwise retention from the outer to the inner layers. Combined with a robust central support frame, the cartridges remain distortion-free even under high differential pressure. By optimizing fiber density, FiltEdge achieves an industry-leading low initial pressure drop (Initial ΔP < 0.01 bar). The high-permeability design reduces resistance in the pumping system, delivering significant energy efficiency improvements and saving approximately 12% in annual power consumption costs for production lines. We use modified polypropylene material with a tensile strength 25% higher than standard commercial grades, yet FiltEdge cartridges still maintain a nominal retention rate of over 98%.
What is a 100-Micron Filter Cartridge?
Compared to finer 5-micron or 10-micron cartridges, the 100-micron cartridge serves as a pre-filter, delivering extremely high liquid flow rates and minimal operating pressure. By protecting downstream, high-cost fine filtration components, it helps you save up to 30% on core consumable replacement costs. FiltEdge does more than just manufacture filter cartridges; we have redefined the reliability of 100-micron filtration using our proprietary multi-layer cross-winding technology. The 100-micron filter cartridge offers exceptional pressure control, saving you approximately 15% on monthly operating electricity costs, and can rapidly purify high-concentration feedstock without compromising production efficiency. With a high dirt-holding capacity and reinforced skeleton structure, the 100-micron filter cartridge will not deform or rupture even under extreme differential pressures.
100 Micron Filter Cartridges Series
The 100-micron filter cartridge series includes: high-flow PP pleated filter cartridges, the FiltEdge™ 316L stainless steel wire mesh series, FiltEdge™ resin-bonded depth filter elements, and FiltEdge™ multi-layer melt-blown sediment filter cartridges.

Featuring a multi-layer, decreasing-pore-size gradient structure secured by hot-melt welding, this product offers an effective filtration area of up to 0.65 m² and significantly reduces ΔP (initial pressure drop). Suitable for high-flow water treatment systems, it delivers stable performance at an operating pressure of 3.5 bar.

Metal wire mesh cartridges with a temperature resistance of up to 250°C. The 100-micron stainless steel woven mesh features uniform pore size, exceptional mechanical strength, and excellent backwash performance.

Long fibers bonded with phenolic resin form a rigid, porous structure. The 100-micron pore size distribution allows for the filtration of high-viscosity fluids (such as paints and coatings). Its optimized specific gravity design prevents media migration under high pressure differentials.

Manufactured using a 100% pure PP melt-blown process, featuring a deep filtration structure that is denser on the inside and looser on the outside. The 100-micron grade serves as a pre-filtration stage, capable of retaining large amounts of TSS (total suspended solids). Its adhesive-free manufacturing process complies with FDA
Key Features of FiltEdge 100 Micron Filter Cartridges
The 100-micron filter cartridge offers broad chemical compatibility, low pressure drop, exceptional mechanical strength, and custom connection options.

Whether made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or nylon 66, the FiltEdge series resists corrosion from strong acids and alkalis with pH values ranging from 1 to 14. The filter cartridge structure remains free from deformation even under continuous operating temperatures of up to 90°C

The initial pressure drop of the 100-micron filter cartridge is less than 0.1 bar at rated flow rates. This means the pumping system can maintain high flow rates without additional effort, saving customers approximately 15% on electricity costs.

FiltEdge filter cartridges are equipped with reinforced central cores and outer cages. Even when subjected to a high pressure differential of 4.2 bar (60 psi), the cartridge will not collapse or allow media penetration.

FiltEdge offers a full range of international standard interfaces, including DOE (Double Open End), Code 7 (226/Finned), Code 3 (222/Flat Bottom), and Code 8.
FiltEdge™ Precision Pleating & Thermal Bonding Technology
The production of 100-micron pleated filter cartridges relies on an industry-leading High-Speed Servo-Controlled Pleating System. Precise pleat pitch calculations ensure that each pleat maintains structural stability under pressure. Our equipment controls pleating tolerance to within ±0.1 mm, increasing effective filtration area by 20% and achieving up to 0.65 m² of filtration area in a 10-inch filter cartridge.
We utilize Ultrasonic Seamless Welding technology to process longitudinal seams and end caps. Under instantaneous high temperatures of 280°C and specific pressure, the PP material undergoes intermolecular cross-linking and penetration, forming an integrated structure. This process endows FiltEdge filter cartridges with extremely high porosity, ranging from 85% to 92%. When handling standard ISO Fine Test Dust, its dirt holding capacity exceeds that of conventional single-layer melt-blown filter cartridges by more than 35%. At the 100-micron rating, this process not only serves as excellent pre-filtration protection but also maintains extremely high flow rates at low pressure drop (initial pressure drop < 0.08 bar).

Applications of 100 Micron Filter Cartridges
100-micron filter cartridges can be used in cooling water systems, food and beverage pretreatment, agricultural irrigation, and marine and ballast water treatment.

Effectively removes rust particles from cooling towers, biological slime fragments, and foreign contaminants from cooling water. Maintenance intervals for downstream heat exchangers can be extended by approximately 40%. In systems with flow rates up to 50 m³/h, it maintains water turbidity at a low level.

Effectively intercepts large particles and organic debris in the water source, protecting expensive downstream membrane separation systems (such as ultrafiltration or nanofiltration). FiltEdge cartridges, compliant with NSF/ANSI 42 standards, can withstand instantaneous thermal sterilization pressures of up to 82°C when processing fruit juice.

Effectively filter out fine sand and algae fragments from irrigation water. FiltEdge filter cartridges are designed with an extremely high dirt holding capacity; when treating non-potable well water, a single cartridge can hold over 500g of solid impurities without affecting outlet pressure

Intercepts large plankton and inorganic sediments. In the face of high salinity in seawater, the 316L material used in FiltEdge effectively resists pitting corrosion

Primary pre-filtration, used to intercept large particulate contaminants to protect downstream ultrafiltration (UF) or reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. It serves as the first line of defense, specifically designed for fluids with high TSS levels.
When the inlet-outlet pressure difference (ΔP) reaches the preset alarm value of 2.0–2.5 bar, check if there is a noticeable drop in downstream flow; if so, replace the cartridge immediately.
This depends on the material. The stainless steel series supports ultrasonic cleaning or backwashing; however, the PP spunbond and pleated series are single-use consumables, and cleaning is not recommended. Metal mesh filter cartridges can be reused after backwashing, while polymer-based cartridges should be replaced directly to ensure filtration precision.
