High Flow Water Filter Element
Traditional 2.5-inch filters often use dozens to hundreds of filters to cope with large flow rates, resulting in large systems, high water resistance, and high energy consumption. FiltEdge’s high flow water filter element has a flux of 43-114m ³/h per unit, which can easily cope with high load operation and ensure production efficiency.

Space Saving High Flow Water Filter Element
The bulky traditional core filter will take up a lot of your factory space and appear bulky. FiltEdge’s high flow water filter element can save you about 50% space utilization, streamline your piping system, and free up more value-added space for your factory.
Easy to Maintain High Flow Water Filter Element
Traditional filter cartridges require you to replace dozens or even hundreds of filters at once, which not only consumes your manpower but also results in long downtime waiting for replacement, directly affecting your production efficiency. FiltEdge’s high flow water filter element is easy to maintain, and a single person can complete the core replacement operation within 10 minutes, greatly reducing the downtime of your filtration system.

Long Life High Flow Water Filter Element
Faced with high pollution impurities, ordinary filter cartridges are often prone to clogging and scrapping, resulting in significant consumable costs for you. The high flow water filter element of FiltEdge, due to its folding structure, can double the filtering area and increase the pollutant holding capacity. Reduce the frequency of filter element replacement, extend the service life of a single filter element, and lower your operating costs.
How to Choose A High Flow Water Filter Element?
Whether you are in the selection stage of building a new factory or looking for alternatives to existing consumables, you can comprehensively consider and choose High flow water filter elements from five dimensions: flow rate, accuracy, liquid medium, shell, and replacement brand. Or you can tell us your working conditions, and we will help you analyze and select.

The processing capacity of a high flow water filter element far exceeds that of a regular filter element. When selecting a filter element, you need to start from the total design flow rate of the filtration system to allocate the length and required number of filters. The required number of filter cartridges=total system flow ÷ recommended flow rate per unit (it is recommended to leave a 20% hydraulic margin).
20 “High flow water filter element: single flow rate can reach 25m ³/h;
40 “High flow water filter element: The flow rate of one filter element can reach 35-50m ³/h;
60 “High flow water filter element: A single filter element can process 60-80m ³/h

Based on the temperature and chemical properties of the water you need to filter, such as pH, oil/solvent content, etc., choose the material of the High flow water filter element and the sealing ring material.
Reverse osmosis pretreatment/seawater desalination: PP high flow water filter element filter cartridge+EPDM seal is recommended. It has the highest cost-effectiveness and can handle water with moderate corrosiveness.
Power plant condensate/high-temperature process water (>80 ℃): To cope with high temperatures and prevent creep, it is recommended to choose fiberglass or PET high flow water filter element+Viton sealing ring.
Strong alkaline wastewater/solvent containing industrial water: Due to its hydrophilicity and alkali resistance, we recommend using nylon filter cartridges.
High end electronic grade ultrapure water system: You can choose PES/PTFE filter cartridge and PTFE seals to prevent metal ion pollution.

Choose the nominal accuracy or absolute accuracy of the High flow water filter element based on your filtering needs.
RO (reverse osmosis) pre stage security filtration: You can use precision of 1 μ m or 5 μ m to ensure SDI compliance and prevent particle impurities;
Reclaimed water reuse/wastewater pre filtration: We recommend using a 10-40 μ m High flow water filter element to achieve the optimal balance between pollutant capacity and filtration efficiency.
Coarse filtration/multi-media filter post interception: It is recommended to use a filter element with a diameter of 70-100 μ m, mainly used to intercept sand or large suspended particles.

High flow water filter elements require the use of specialized high flow filter housings. You need to choose according to the logic of “new project” or “old system renovation”.
New project: The first step is to obtain the size and quantity of High flow water filter elements based on the flow rate, and then choose between vertical or horizontal filter housings.
Renovation project: This is a project that involves upgrading old equipment or replacing it with new equipment. If you need to keep the original bag filter housing or other housing, we can provide you with a High flow water filter element specific internal modification adapter component to upgrade the original system to a high flow filtration system.
High Flow Water Filter Element VS Regular Filter Cartridge
Comparing High flow water filter elements with conventional deep filter elements such as meltblown, wire winding, and folding can help you better choose filter element styles.
High flow water filter elements and ordinary depth cartridges both belong to precision filtration, but ordinary depth filter cartridges, including melt blown filter cartridges and wound filter cartridges, have relatively weak processing capacity per filter cartridge. They often require the laying of a large number of filter cartridges and the use of large volume filter housings to handle the same flow rate, which will result in excessive costs invested in the early stages of project construction, as well as labor maintenance costs and consumables costs in the later stages.
Secondly, ordinary depth filter cartridges do not have a doubled folding area and flow channel design like high flow water filter elements, which often leads to blockages and requires you to stop and inspect at any time, affecting your production efficiency.
The High flow water filter cartridge can help you increase the capacity for pollutants, reduce blockages and frequent core changes, allowing you to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Although the filtration area of the Standard Pledged Water Cartridge has been increased compared to a regular depth cartridge, its size is still limited to 2.5 inches. The flow rate of the high flow water filter element is more than 7 times that of it. When dealing with the same amount of traffic, the use of high flow water filter cartridges is minimal, resulting in a lower probability of inadequate installation.
The flow direction of the High flow water filter cartridge is also from inside to outside, which is exactly opposite to the flow direction of the standard pleated water cartridge from outside to inside, and it will not cause secondary pollution.
Technical Parameters of High Flow Water Filter Element
In terms of water treatment, the vast majority of high flow water filter elements use PP material, which is beneficial for your cost control. But when facing some complex working conditions, you have other filter materials to choose from.

| Flow Direction | Outside-in | Outside-in | Inside-out | Key technical highlight: Outside-in flow allows dirty water at the bottom of the housing to backflow and contaminate downstream during change-out. The high-flow “Inside-out” design traps contaminants securely inside the element — simply pull it out and carry the contaminants away, eliminating by-pass and secondary contamination risks. |
| Initial Pressure Drop / Resistance | Relatively high (≥0.03 MPa) | Moderate (≥0.025 MPa) | Extremely low (≤0.015 MPa) | Ultra-low initial pressure drop means reduced pump energy consumption — directly translating to electrical cost savings for the plant. |
| Filter System Footprint | Large (requires multi-cartridge housings in parallel) | Moderate | Minimal (volume reduced by 50%–70%) | Compact design frees up valuable plant floor space, reducing upfront investment in civil works and piping infrastructure. |
| Single Change-Out Time | Labor-intensive (hours; requires disassembly of multiple hold-down plates / nuts) | Moderately long | Extremely fast (tool-free, single operator, accomplished in minutes) |
Saving money is a comprehensive matter, including replacement costs, labor costs, and production losses caused by downtime. High flow water filter cartridge can be defeated by one against ten. The filter housing it comes with is smaller than that of a regular filter cartridge; Secondly, the number of installed filters is also less than that of ordinary filters; The presence of doubling the capacity for pollution also reduces your frequency of core replacement and downtime, as well as shortening the duration of a single shutdown. So the overall cost of using a high flow water filter cartridge is lower than that of a regular filter cartridge.
Our High flow water filter element can be standardized and adapted in terms of structural design, outer diameter dimensions (such as mainstream 6.0-inch and 6.5-inch), and core interface end caps. Including 3M High Flow series, Pall high-throughput series, Parker, Pentair and other specifications.
Of course, we have an upgrade service for old equipment and can provide you with internal retrofit adapter components specifically for High flow water filter elements, allowing you to use high flow filters while retaining the bag filter housing, reducing your investment costs.
