What Is FiltEdge's Sintered Filter Cartridges?
FiltEdge’s sintered filter cartridge is a cylindrical filter element with connectors (threaded, DOE, SOE, 222/226, tri clamp) at both ends. You can use it to filter particles and impurities in industrial liquids, dust, gases, such as pharmaceuticals, food, chemicals, energy, water treatment, and other industries. According to your different working conditions and requirements, you can choose stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloy, ceramic, PP, PE, PTFE materials. Precision coverage of 0.2-100 microns, filtering media with different particle longitudes and viscosities for you. FiltEdge can also customize sintered filter cartridges to improve your production process or market share.

Classification Of Sintered Filter Cartridge
FiltEdge’s sintered filter cartridges are classified according to material, structure, size, connection ports, etc., with over 100 types of filters for you to choose from. Or we can customize it for you.

Using 304 or 316 stainless steel is the most practical and cost-effective sintered filter cartridge in industrial filtration.
Multi layer metal wire mesh composite sintering, with high flux, suitable for coarse filtration with high flow rate and low viscosity.
Made by sintering stainless steel, titanium or nickel alloy powders, it belongs to a deep filtration structure and can be used for ultra-high precision interception above 0.2 μ m.

Sintered ceramics have excellent chemical inertness and insulation properties, and are designed to provide flue gas filtration for extremely high temperature conditions of 800-1000 ℃.
Advantages Of Sintered Filter Cartridge
Faced with high pressure, high temperature, and strong corrosion conditions, ordinary filter cartridges frequently fail, and the cost of long-term shutdown maintenance is expensive. FiltEdge’s sintered filter cartridges provide you with a long-lasting filtration solution based on their material properties and structural strength.

The pressure difference of FiltEdge’s sintered filter cartridge can reach up to 0.4MPa, and there is no risk of cracking or breakdown in the sintered filter cartridge when facing sudden impact pressure or filtering high viscosity media.

Both metal sintered filters and plastic sintered filters have self-supporting rigidity. Under the continuous impact of traffic, it will not deform or collapse, and there will be no bypass leakage.

The maximum temperature can reach 1000 degrees Celsius, making it easy to cope with extreme working conditions and completely replacing traditional soft filter elements that are prone to softening and carbonization.

FiltEdge can provide sintered filter cartridges made of stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloy, ceramic, and plastic materials that are resistant to dissolution and perforation, extending the service life of the filter cartridge based on the acidity and alkalinity of your working conditions.

FiltEdge’s sintered filter cartridges support blowback, ultrasonic, and chemical cleaning, reducing your usage costs.

The aperture distribution of the Sintered filter cartridges is uniform, and there is no fiber shedding in the face of high flow impact, avoiding downstream pollution and secondary pollution.

There are four mainstream cleaning methods, and the most suitable cleaning method depends on the type of impurities (organic, inorganic, crystalline, or particulate) filtered by your sintered filter cartridge. If you are unsure about which cleaning method to use, we can provide you with a free professional cleaning SOP process and chemical compatibility guide.
- Backwashing/Backflushing: Used for solid particles and coarse impurities attached to the surface of a sintered filter cartridge.
- Ultrasonic Cleaning: Used for penetrating fine clogging particles inside micropores.
- Chemical Washing: Organic substances, oils, scales, or chemical precipitates with high viscosity.
- High Temperature Calcination: When carbides or organic matter severely clog the sintered filter cartridge, it is beneficial for the high-temperature resistance of the sintered filter cartridge. Impurities are burned and blown away at high temperatures.
It depends on the material flow rate and filtration requirements you filter. Sintered mesh filter cartridges are made by arranging and sintering metal wire mesh in a staggered manner, making them suitable for high flow rates Surface Filtration、 The working conditions where impurity particles are relatively regular and require frequent backwash regeneration. Sintered powder filter cartridges are made by sintering metal powders with intricate pore structures, belonging to deep filtration. They are suitable for harsh working conditions such as high-precision requirements, high viscosity media, strong acids and alkalis, or the need to intercept extremely fine particles/carbon powder. You can also tell us your actual working conditions, and our engineers will analyze and select for you.
The average lifespan of FiltEdge’s sintered filter cartridge can reach 3-5 years, depending on your usage and maintenance needs, such as whether the filter material is compatible? Is there proper cleaning and cleaning frequency? Is it possible to keep the sintered filter element working in an environment far beyond the predetermined pressure for a long time?
